Cut to length means no seams and no waste

Most suppliers stock fixed lengths and you either overlap or trim. We cut each panel to the exact run of your roof, so a 27' rafter run gets a 27' panel. Fewer seams means fewer leak paths, and you are not paying for steel you throw away. For a re-roof or a pole barn, this usually saves more than the panel price difference between suppliers.

Gauge, coating and what actually fails first

29-gauge is the standard for residential roofing and agricultural siding and is what the overwhelming majority of buyers need. 26-gauge is thicker and worth it on long exposed spans or where hail is a recurring problem. But panels rarely fail first โ€” fasteners and closures do. Cheap screws back out and cheap closures let wind-driven rain under the ribs. We would rather sell you the right screws than the cheapest ones.

The parts people forget to order

A roof is not just panels. You need ridge cap, eave and rake trim, J-channel where panels meet walls, gable trim, foam closures at the ridge and eave, and the right length screws for your purlin spacing. Coming up short on closures with a half-finished roof and rain forecast is a bad afternoon. Bring us your dimensions and we will build the full list.

Common Questions

How much does 29-gauge metal roofing cost per square foot?

Panel pricing tracks steel coil markets and moves through the year, so we quote current rather than publish a fixed rate. Because we roll-form ourselves, there is no distributor margin in the number. Give us your roof dimensions and we will price the full package โ€” panels, trim, closures and screws โ€” so you are comparing like for like against other quotes.

Is 29-gauge thick enough for a roof?

For the overwhelming majority of residential roofs, agricultural buildings and pole barns, yes โ€” it is the industry standard. Consider 26-gauge if you have long unsupported spans, recurring hail, or you simply want extra margin. We will tell you honestly when the upgrade is worth paying for and when it is not.

Can I buy just a few sheets of metal roofing?

Yes. There is no minimum order. Plenty of our materials customers come in for a handful of panels to patch a barn roof, and get the same cut-to-length service and pricing structure as a full project.

What screws do I need for metal roofing?

Length depends on whether you are fastening to purlins, decking or over existing roofing, and on your purlin spacing. Painted-head screws with bonded washers matched to your panel colour are standard. Bring your framing details and we will spec the right fastener and quantity โ€” under-ordering screws is the most common mistake on DIY jobs.

Do you sell metal roofing to contractors?

Yes, with volume pricing for builders, roofers and framers. If you run repeat work we can set up consistent pricing and turnaround so you are not re-quoting every job.
